About Granite

Stoneworld Solid Granite Worktops are suitable for the kitchen and right throughout the home in bathrooms, sink units and vanity tops. They are also suitable for Bar Counters, Hotel Reception Desks, Table Tops, Restaurant Service Areas and Window Boards.
Caring for your granite worktop
Natural stone requires a seal with sealing agent. This is done at the manufacturing and fitting stage. However, routine cleaning of your granite worktop is required using washing up liquid or other non-acidic kitchen cleaner to keep your new granite or quartz worktop in perfect condition. Stoneworld supply a cleaning care kit with each counter top.
Hot Items
Avoid placing hot pans directly on the granite worktop. Either use a trivet or other heat-resistant plate. We can also fit heat rails (removable rods) to any of our granite or quartz worktops. Please ask for details.
Cutting & Chopping
Although cutting & chopping will not damage the granite worktop surface, it may well blunt your knives so it's best done on a chopping board.
General care
Do not use cleaners which contain bleach on your granite or quartz worktop. Wipe up all spills quickly, especially citrus, vinegar, alcohol, coffee or oil. Given these basic precautions, your granite worktop should last a lifetime, which is why traditional granite worktops have been used for hundreds of years.
